We hope to inspire all to pursue a culinary style that embraces what is healthy for our bodies, our planet and for those that toil in the soil growing the food that nourishes us.
A special thanks to our loyal customers. Everyone that walks through our door teaches us, challenging us to learn more and provide more. Thank you for allowing us to be your health food store for over 40 years.
Finally, we want to thank and dedicate this website to Les and Rosemary Voegle who founded this business in 1978. Highland Nutrition was one of the first health food stores in the lower Midwest, and Les and Rosemary were pioneers in our industry. We are indebted to them and hope to carry on in their spirit for many years to come

When are you open?
We are open 7 days a week, except for major holidays. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to see our hours. If you are unsure about our hours for an upcoming holiday, give us a call!
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes - there are so many ways to save at Highland Nutrition!
We offer a 10% discount for seniors (restrictions apply). If you are age 60 or over and not receiving a discount, be sure to sign up at the register before you check out with your name and phone number. Then when you enter your phone number at checkout, your discount will automatically apply and you will always receive the best price on each item you purchase whether that be your Senior Discount, a Sale item, INFRA Deal and additional savings from Save Naturally when available!
If you are under 60 you too can be a Save Naturally Member! Save Naturally Coupons rotate every 3 months. As a Member, you receive the Savings automatically - no paper coupons, nothing to remember, just instant Savings! All you have to do is sign up with your name and phone number at the register.
We also accept original manufacturer Coupons.
Finally, we offer a case discount, so special order a case of your favorite item and receive a 15% discount!
Can I bring my own containers for bulk items?
Yes! We love when customers go zero-waste and bring their own clean, reusable containers for bulk spices, tea, grains, and more. Wide mouth jars work best. Just make sure to have a staff member weigh your container every visit before you fill up on the good stuff.
What are INFRA Deals?
INFRA is a purchasing cooperative of independent organic and natural food retailers that we have been a part of since 2021. Highland Nutrition Center is an independently owned and operated health food store, so being a part of INFRA allows us access to better prices - and we pass those savings on to you!
INFRA Deals are extra savings on select products that run for 2-3 weeks at a time. You can find the current Deals flyer on our website or in-store.
What are your produce standards?
We carry ONLY organically grown produce. This means all the produce we sell is grown without chemical pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers, which is better for you and the planet. We also carry locally grown produce in the summer season.
Can you special order a product for me?
Yes! If there is a specific product you are looking for and can’t find in the store, ask one of our employees and we can often special order it for you.
Can I order from you online?
Yes! We fill pickup or curbside orders Monday through Saturday. The order will be filled in the store, and we will give you a call when it is ready. You can pay over the phone or in-person, and pick up at your convenience. Curbside orders can be placed using this form. Remember to include Brand names, sizes and how many you want of each.
